About our School
St Andrew’s C.E. (Aided) Primary School is situated in the centre of the picturesque village of Buckland Monachorum, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. The building dates from the 1970’s with extra classrooms and facilities constructed as the school roll has increased and to provide a modern and attractive learning environment for all pupils. The school grounds are extensive and provide a rich outdoor classroom with two playgrounds, a large field, environmental areas, school gardens, an amphitheatre and outdoor heated swimming pool. The village Community Orchard nearby is also widely used. The school caters for children aged from 4 to 11 years and is organised into 7 year groups.
